Team Building @ Genting

Just 3 weeks after the company's Team Building, our R&D Department organized another team building session in Genting... you should hear the moans and groans when we were told to bring 3 sets of sports attire, just for a 2 day event... not again!... some of us still carry the scars for the previous trip... including me...

Anyway it was pretty much fun as it was in a smaller group and each of us knows each other quite well, although there were quite a lot of new faces as the department had doubled in number since the previous year.

We stayed over at a place called Genting View Resort as they have quite substantial team building facilities built around the area.

Day 1, was pretty much on the "river course"... activities conducted over a stream that flows through the resort.

Day 2 covered land activities... did stuff where u need to really work in a team with the acception of the flying fox!... it runs to more than 100m... it was actually scary walking up the tower than the actual flying fox itself... anyway the day started pretty well... a couple of us were punished for being late... sigh... dun they understand I gotta do my "business" first... so we had to do some jig...

Anyway, this would be our last ever departmental team building. For the following years it has been decided that there would only be one and only company team building... :(

Team Building @ PD

I came back in one piece... but in the words of Michelle, I looked so beaten up. I could hardly lift my arms for 2 days... both swollen... but IT WAS FUN! It was 2 days of pure physical exertion and came back totally wasted. From archery, climbing ropes, sliding through muds, mud crawl, etc, etc... and the last day, canoeing for 6.6KM!...

I can say the activities wasn't tailored for short, heavy guys. After the first day my arms and legs were already literally like jelly. The company hasn't release the photos yet but there's just some photos from my friends camera... and the aftermath!...

Hopefully can get the pics from the official company photographs soon... on the last 2 photos... there was a skin layer that that build up on the wound... so I had to cut it out and dress the wound again!... I'ma home made Nip/Tuck!... :P

It's the time of the year again. Sighhh so not looking forward to it.

Janda Baik

Who in the world would name a place "Good widow"??. Anyway as mentioned in the previous post, (which is quite long time ago, I know)... we were in Janda Baik for Team Building stuff. Thought we have to rough out in an old dirty bungalow in the middle of nowhere in the jungle, sleeping with mosqis and leechies. But hey... when we arrived, yups it's still in the middle of nowhere, but it's a real cool 3 storey bungalow with.... a pool filled with filtered mountain water!... can you beat that??.

Anyway we were in this place called Tanarimba and were staying in the house named the Enderong House which won some mentions in the PAM awards 2004 (some architectural stuff). Anyway more of the house, information and pics can be found here.

So just to leave you guys with some pics. It's a really nice and peaceful place for a gateaway. But don't think I could stay in that place for long... i still want my internet! and have a free and easy drive along highways and stuff... Till then... ciaos...

Goin BACK... and to the UK

Wooohoooo... my boss allowed me to have the Friday off to pack and go!.... Will be leaving for the UK this Sat. 11:55pm. Will be there till the 15th Feb, hopefully will be back in time for CNY eve reunion and celebration. Heard that it's freezing cold there at the moment abt 0C and started snowing over there yesterday. Have to get some winter clothing tomorrow or else I'll be freezing myself up over there, hahaha.

Basically would be based in Havant (pronounced "Heaven"). It is here:

The funny thing is when ppl ask where will I be and when I say Havant their eyes will juz go wide... hahaha... so I pronounced it as HA VANT (read it like the malay baku language.. hahahaha). Supposed to be there for training for a total of about 6 to 9 months but I think the duration would be cut really, really much shorter. Looking forward to experience winter but with my running nose I think I'll experience "banjir" in UK...

Anyway hope to catch up with you peeps when I'm back during the CNY. I really really hope I won't be putting on weight when I'm there... (i know some will say fat hopes)... =P.... Ciaos...
