Switch Footed!

Sorry have not been updating for soooooooo longgggggg. Have been pretty busy with work and have been running Seremban-KL-Melaka for the last 2 weekends. Anyway work is pretty much ok at the moment. Have been attending trainings, meeting with suppliers/vendors, developing new stuffs, arguing with the boss, irritating him... so that's why he's sending me for training to keep me away from the office... muahahaha....

But guess what... i managed to catch S W I T C H F O O T, live in Malaysia! It's been a really long time that I catch an international live act... the last was I think Delirious abt 2-3 years back... and well it was a realy blast... so much energy... more about the band can be found on wikipedia... ermmm we were not actually allowed to bring in cameras... but... but... managed to get mine in... thought I was one of the few... but check this out:

It started off when we were caught in a jam towards KLCC... thought we would late... but managed to get there by 6... and this was what greeted us!

The line was pretty long and when it started to drizzle everybody start running for shelter... who says Singaporeans are kiasu?... you can see some Malaysians juz start barging and cutting lines to be in the front line... so much for civic mindednes... blehhh

Anyway we managed to get in and was on the right side of the stage as the centre and right side was pretty packed with ppl already, not such a bad position...

Opening Act by Love Me Butch

The sound was pretty badly mixed... I could hardly hear what Syarul Reza (lead vocals) was singing... but Wing Meng as usual simply struts his guitar abit ala Mark Tremonti style from the now defunct Creed (sigh... I miss this band)

2nd Opening Band: Altered Frequency

The sounds and vocals when Altered Frequency was up was much better... but there were still problems with the controls and balance as there were some sudden shreiks of the guitar... I dunno, maybe its the local soundman that's trying to get a hang of the mixers....

And after that.... Switchfoot is up... and up, up, up and away!!!!... they really rock... Jon Foreman was really in his element... jumping from the drum stage, mingling with the crowds, saying the-now-defacto-caption-of-international-artist-when-they-come-to-Malaysia- "apa khabar!", carrying the ride cymbal around the stage and hitting away, flinging his guitars and mic stand (why didn't he fling the guitar to me!!!!)... arghhhh is was superb, a far cry from what you hear on their studio albums... anyway enuff jabbering... check out the pics...

What a start to a year...

Past 2 months hasn't been really kind to me... I think would be too many to list down over this blog and some would be too personal but basically I took quite a beating financially, spiritually, emotionally and physically... directly and indirectly. News that have been filtering in are mainly negative. I'm just tired. But there ain't no use delving in self pity...

Anyway my sis and her family have migrated over to Australia. They are supposed to be based in Melbourne but currently following David on his projects in Adelaide. Just had short chat with her online with the web cam this morning. Looks like leanne has grown too... :P

It was a superb time with my niece around... she actually said "I want to watch football"... the problem is she says it whenever it ISN"T Liverpool playing.... now just have to work on her timing... :P.... other than let's not get into the part we argue over the channels... :D... yaya I'm a big bully... 20+ years old vs. 2+ years old... wonder why the younger one always wins... :P

Anyway there's a new record of her singing and dancing... 330AM... can you beat that??? I can't even wake up at that time to watch Champions League football....

So with my niece around what are the "lows???"... well on Monday night I got into an accident... For the first time in 10 years!!!! It's a long story but to see my latio dented quite badly was pretty heart breaking. The door was un-salvagable so it required a new one. Hoping I would get my ride soon.... it'll be about a week in the workshop...
