Australia, Victoria - Melbourne Aquarium

I've always been a sucker for ocean aquariums. So the Melbourne Aquarium was a NOT TO BE MISSED location while we were at Melbourne. Moreover it's easily accessible, just need to get a train to Melbourne City, stop at Flinders Station, hop on the tourist tram and presto it's right beside the street.

There's basically 5 zones, it's the "Antarctica", "Weird and Wonderful", "River to Reef" and "Sharks Alive" what caught my attention was the penguins! since we didn't had time to fit Philip Island into our itinerary, being able to see penguins here is simply brilliant!.

First stop was the Antartica and it was really fun to see the penguins swimming and strolling around with their pudgy bodies. Basically there's 2 types that were on display, the speedy Gentoo penguins and the haughty King Penguins...

The weird and wonderful section consists of sea creatures that basically are weird in shapes or unique camouflaging in nature... or just plain ugly!

The river to the reef portion covers mainly the Australian freshwater fishes, and the Sharks Alive section was the main draw. We manage to get intime for the feeding session and what a frenzy it was. The fishes and rays were darting around the divers to get their fill!

All rites... that's all for now... juz a quick post... next round... the highlight of the trip... Great Ocean Road!...
