This is part of me...

Got this pic over in my facebook... was pretty funny and I think it describes part of me...

Was talking over some stuff with Michelle the other day and she says I always kamikaze... I told her I'm a "calculated kamikaze"... she said I'm coming out with my own terms again...
Funny thing is I think as I get older, the more I take on this risks (calculated risks in my mind!)... whether it's in a relationship, work, music, financial matters, etc. etc. once I've decided to take the risk, there's no looking back, hit it head on and face whatever music that comes next... sometimes it ends up in tears, sometimes in joy, many times in utter embarassment... but I guess that is how I learn and grow... or it's juz an insanity streak... and that's how I irritate my bosses, colleagues, friends, parents... dogs... cats... mosquitoes... ants... whatever... u get the drift...
Cheers...

Slightly Left brained... but quite central...

I actually think I'm left brained on the weekdays... (when I have to put on my engineering thinking cap).. and right brained on the weekends... (when I put on my music gloves... woohooo!)...

Switch Footed!

Sorry have not been updating for soooooooo longgggggg. Have been pretty busy with work and have been running Seremban-KL-Melaka for the last 2 weekends. Anyway work is pretty much ok at the moment. Have been attending trainings, meeting with suppliers/vendors, developing new stuffs, arguing with the boss, irritating him... so that's why he's sending me for training to keep me away from the office... muahahaha....
But guess what... i managed to catch S W I T C H F O O T, live in Malaysia! It's been a really long time that I catch an international live act... the last was I think Delirious abt 2-3 years back... and well it was a realy blast... so much energy... more about the band can be found on wikipedia... ermmm we were not actually allowed to bring in cameras... but... but... managed to get mine in... thought I was one of the few... but check this out:

A Sea of Cameras in action!

It started off when we were caught in a jam towards KLCC... thought we would late... but managed to get there by 6... and this was what greeted us!

The long line to KL Convention Centre 4

The line was pretty long and when it started to drizzle everybody start running for shelter... who says Singaporeans are kiasu?... you can see some Malaysians juz start barging and cutting lines to be in the front line... so much for civic mindednes... blehhh

Anyway we managed to get in and was on the right side of the stage as the centre and right side was pretty packed with ppl already, not such a bad position...

Opening Act by Love Me Butch

The sound was pretty badly mixed... I could hardly hear what Syarul Reza (lead vocals) was singing... but Wing Meng as usual simply struts his guitar abit ala Mark Tremonti style from the now defunct Creed (sigh... I miss this band)

2nd Opening Band: Altered Frequency

The sounds and vocals when Altered Frequency was up was much better... but there were still problems with the controls and balance as there were some sudden shreiks of the guitar... I dunno, maybe its the local soundman that's trying to get a hang of the mixers....

and here is SWITCHFOOT!

And after that.... Switchfoot is up... and up, up, up and away!!!!... they really rock... Jon Foreman was really in his element... jumping from the drum stage, mingling with the crowds, saying the-now-defacto-caption-of-international-artist-when-they-come-to-Malaysia- "apa khabar!", carrying the ride cymbal around the stage and hitting away, flinging his guitars and mic stand (why didn't he fling the guitar to me!!!!)... arghhhh is was superb, a far cry from what you hear on their studio albums... anyway enuff jabbering... check out the pics...

All rights... that's all for now... till the next updates!....
